Rovira i Virgili University (URV) is a public university attended by 15.000 students. It is located in southern Catalonia (Spain) and is structured in twelve faculties and schools where more than 100 study programmes (bachelor, master and phd programmes) are offered. A variety of degrees have been designed and implemented to meet the educational needs of local and also international student population. A range of postgraduate courses have been established, in line with the activities of national, federal and international research groups.

In order to fulfil the University’s institutional mission of generating knowledge and responding effectively to the needs of society in the current context of crisis and reformulation of the economic development model, URV is implementing an active policy aimed at strengthening the research profile and increasing visibility (internal and external recognition) of research staff in all areas of knowledge.

At the Department of Business Management , a consolidated research group, recognised by the Catalan government, works on social and organizational analysis. The researchers, specialised in economics, business, marketing and social science,  are active in the promotion of interdisciplinarity and knowledge exchange.
